Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with The Beast Of Nod.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
THE BEAST OF NOD: The Beast of Nod is an Intergalactic Death Metal band. We define that as, a subgenre of death metal music featuring linear song structures, odd time signatures, and extremely technical passages, wherein songs explore the characters and events of a sci-fi universe called “The Land of Nod.” The band is Paul on vocals, Görebläster on guitar and programming, Nate on drums and Brendan on bass.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
THE BEAST OF NOD: As far as metal influences, we are inspired by bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Scale The Summit, Gojira and Plini. We also listen to and draw inspiration from everything from classic rock like Van Halen to synthwave such as Magic Sword, with whom we have the pleasure of playing with June 21st here in Boston!
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
THE BEAST OF NOD: Our latest release is our debut full length album, ‘Vampira: Disciple of Chaos’, which came out on May 21st. As a band, we draw heavily from the technical and progressive side of death metal. But it really doesn’t sound like anything you’ve heard before! Our lyrics are about The Land of Nod, a universe that we’ve created. Information about that can be found on our website and in the first issue of our comic book both out alongside the album release.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
THE BEAST OF NOD: We pride ourselves on being more than a band; we are an entertainment piece, and we want to bring you with us on our intergalactic travels!
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
THE BEAST OF NOD: Hopefully playing larger stages and festivals, bringing our Intergalactic Death Metal to the masses! Like, Subscribe, and follow us on Facebook, Youtube and Instagram, and visit http://www.thebeastofnod.com for more info. Cheers!
