Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Lifecurse.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
LIFECURSE: The band was formed in 2010 from the ashes of a previous band with the stable members. We set out to do things differently including our approach to songwriting, releasing material, and playing live…8 years later we are still learning and tweaking. We are just 5 dudes writing music that we would like to listen to.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
LIFECURSE: Our main influences shift depending on who you are talking to but just any band that thinks outside the box and transcends their genre. That’s the most influential thing you can do as a musician.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
LIFECURSE: Our latest release is “Buzzard Bait”, it’s a 3 minute song that is catchy yet heavy and is just very indicative of our band, our sound and our vision. Your readers should check it out because we could be their new favorite band. hahahahaha
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
LIFECURSE: Our live shows are just fun. We want you to escape your every day life and just enjoy good music with good people. Nothing more, nothing less.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
LIFECURSE: Hopefully celebrating the 5 year anniversary of you asking us this question!! Haha but in all seriousness, I just see us continuing to write good music and continue to push the envelope and play as far and as wide as the earth will let us… We aren’t giving up anytime soon so get used to us!
