Gene Simmons (KISS) Apparently Banned From Fox News

Gene Simmons has apparently received a lifetime ban from the Fox News headquarters in Manhattan following an extremely odd visit. The KISS legend was there to promote his book “On Power,” when he decided to behave in an inappropriate manner.

The Daily Beast reports that it all started when he had a guest spot on “Fox & Friends.” During the appearance he crashed the weather report, before returning to the couch to offer his thoughts on Harvey Weintstein. He said the following:

“The lunatics have taken over the insane asylum when respected business entities such as yourself ask guys that like to stick their tongues out what I think of Harvey Weinstein. Okay, I’m a powerful and attractive man, and what I’m about to say is deadly serious. Men are jackasses. From the time we’re young we have testosterone. I’m not validating it or defending it.”

He then went to the 14th floor where he was supposed to be interviewed about “On Power.” While up there, he invaded a staff meeting and yelled “Hey chicks, sue me” while opening up his shirt, to expose his stomach and chest. After that, he started telling Michael Jackson pedophile jokes, and hit two staffers in the head with his book to test their intelligence based off sound.

Kevin Lord, a human resources executive at Fox, eventually heard what happened, and decided to implement the ban.

Simmons’ publicist has since delivered a statement to Metal Injection:

“I have appeared frequently over the years on various Fox News and Fox Business programs and have a tremendous amount of respect for the talented women and men who work there. While I believe that what is being reported is highly exaggerated and misleading, I am sincerely sorry that I unintentionally offended members of the Fox team during my visit.”
