Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Mike Milan Dedic

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with rock guitarist Mike Milan Dedic.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

MMD: When I started playing guitar I was very fortunate to have a lot of the great guitar players in the prime of their career to look to for inspiration. When I saw Eddie Van Halen back in 1981 with front row seats, I knew I wanted to play lead guitar. From there, players like Ritchie Blackmore, Uli Jon Roth, Randy Rhodes and Malmsteen inspired with their classical influence.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

MMD: My latest release is entitled ‘Escape’. It is a guitar-driven instrumental piece that I hope can
give anyone looking for a boost to their day a bit of a recharge to their batteries!

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

MMD: As we are planning some showcase gigs very soon; a high energy very up-tempo music set can be expected. I find that when we play my songs in a group setting, the adrenaline of the moment always entices us to play the songs at a quicker pace than how they were recorded!

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

MMD: I’m just going to continue drawing inspiration from all sorts of music and come up with new guitar instrumental songs to record. I have been in contact with many accomplished musicians from around the globe so more collaborating might also be on the agenda. We’ll see. I’m just having fun!
