Shadows said the following:

“We did like six covers songs that we didn’t… but we didn’t want any covers on our record, you know what I mean? We don’t wanna do that… Then we also have stuff that we didn’t finish for the record, that we felt would make the record a littler long in the tooth, just a little too long. But now we want to give it to them after they’ve digested it. So we have a process where we’re going to release songs monthly And we’re not going to make a big deal of it. Just one day you might go on Spotify and there’s be a new song and another one, but we’re not gonna sit there and hype it up, we’re just gonna let it be what it is.”

Vengeance added the following about the covers:

“They’re definitely not obvious bands, we wanted to do out take on songs that you wouldn’t expect to hear from us. So what we did was, dig really deep and try to find songs that wouldn’t be necessarily easy for us to cover, it wasn’t the obvious picks. We wanted to do something that was pretty far off the end of the spectrum.”

He elaborated further when asked if the covers were outside the rock genre:

“To an extent, yes, absolutely, without a doubt. And that’s what’s going to be make it exciting, is to take an entirely different style of music and add our flair to it and just make it fun.”

Vengeance then added the following about the new songs that didn’t make the cut for “The Stage”:

“They’re definitely different vibes and it’s more for our fans, just to break it up.”

“They definitely stand in the forefront, I think our fans will really enjoy them. Whether they would be something that would fit in on the album, provided they were released on the album, I would say probably not. It’s more to give our fans something a little special. There’s definitely elements that add to evolution of the album; but on the same token there’s some that are purely for fun that wouldn’t have made their way on the album on initial release day.”
