Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with the post-hardcore band Owleye.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
Owleye: What’s up guys we are Owleye and we are a Post Hardcore band from Denver Colorado. Owleye consists of Tim Graham (vocals) DJ Sundine (Guitar) Frank Woronoff (Drums) and Brad Stewart (bass)
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
Owleye: The main influences really for this band are Underoath, Saosin, Chiodos, and Haste The Day. We blend those influences really well into our sound.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
Owleye: Back in April we released our debut EP ‘No Wounds’ and I truly feel it is the perfect debut EP. Every song is a little different but still stays true to our heavy background. The whole this is an emotional rollercoaster of talking about everyday struggles and trying to find the positive in shit situations. There really is something in there for everyone so go check it out on every music platform.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
Owleye: Well after listening to our EP you will feel the raw energy that we bring to the table. Our shows are the exact thing but even more raw and energized. Expect to dance, push, clap, and hopefully sing along with us!
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
Owleye: I feel we will be wherever we want to be. We are currently gearing up to record our full length and we have a crazy drive right now and we are working our asses off. We have the mentality that the more work you put in the more you will get out of it and we are working our fucking ass off.
