Concert Review: AC/DC Rock AT&T Park

On September 25, 2015 I attended the AC/DC concert at AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA, and it was one hell of a show. The band opened with the title track of their latest effort, “Rock Or Bust,” and then slid into the classic “Shoot To Thrill.” This was just the beginning of a two hour set full of hit after hit, with a few newer tracks thrown in for good measure.

The whole band was on point, especially Angus Young, who played his guitar like a madman. The 60-year-old rocker can play flawlessly and seems to have the energy of someone in their 20’s. The other members all performed at top form, as well. Brian Johnson’s voice sounded stronger than ever, and he really didn’t need to say much to keep the crowd going. The band’s latest additions, Stevie Young, who has taken over for Malcolm Young, and Chris Slade, who has taken over for Phil Rudd, both brought their A-games too.

The highlights of the night were the band’s performances of “Hells Bells,” “TNT,” Highway To Hell,” Thunderstruck,” “You Shook Me All Night Long,” and “Whole Lotta Rosie.” All these, combined with Angus Young’s masterful guitar solo, made for one amazing concert. When the 20 song set officially came to a close the band performed “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)” and blasted cannons/fireworks to go out with a bang.
