Last night (June 22), I attended the Theory Of A Deadman concert at The Catalyst, in Santa Cruz, CA. The band opened up with the hard rocking track “Panic Room,” from their latest album Savages, and then proceeded to play songs spanning their whole career.
Fans went crazy when the band played older hits like “Santa Monica,” and “No Surprise,” from their Gasoline album. The crowd also really responded to the several newer songs that they played including: “Drown,” “Angel,” and the Savages title track.
The highlights of the night came in the form of “Bad Girlfriend,” and “Hate My Life,” both from the Scars & Souvenirs album. These fan favorites really got the crowd moving/singing, and helped solidify the set list.
As for the opening act, Shaman’s Harvest, they brought their own brand of southern rock to the show. They were a great opening act, and are defiantly worth checking out. Highlights from their set include their performances of “Dragonfly,” “Danger,” and “Country As Fuck.”
