The Fever 333 Premiere New Video For “Made An America” Remix Feat. Travis Barker & Vic Mensa

The Fever 333 (ex-letlive./The Chariot, etc.) have shared a new video for their “Made An America“ remix. This version of the track features Vic Mensa and Blink-182‘s Travis Barker and it appears on the vinyl version of the band’s “Made An America” EP.

Jason Aalon Butler commented:

“This project started as an effort to affect change. Change in our communities as well as the industry and art which we operate within.

Opening the floor to like minds and artists. Subversion is in the project’s DNA. So is hip hop. So is punk. So is ART. Which is why we are so proud to announce the visual component to the “MADE AN AMERICA” REMIX FT. TRAVIS BARKER & VIC MENSA.

Two artists tastefully combining the essence of rock and hip hop music; two realms that were created to challenge convention which is what we intend on doing in honor of these cultures.”

The Fever 333 Premiere “Made An America” Music Video

The Fever 333 (ex-letlive./The Chariot, etc.) have premiered a new video for the title track of their “Made An America” EP. You can check that out below. As previously reported, a vinyl version of that effort will be released on August 24.

Frontman Jason Aalon Butler directed the clip and had the following to say about it:

“I am not afraid to talk about the truth anymore. I am not threatened by the ignorance that allowed us to push a very problematic history aside. There is no more reason for me to be compliant through silence, and there is absolutely no room for such silence in art. If you feel challenged by the idea of this video, I would encourage you to ask yourself ‘why?’

Then you can feel free to ask me or the other members of this project. This video was an attempt to offer representation to gravely underrepresented, and ironically prevalent, faction in both music and society. This is an acknowledgment of those whose bodies were exploited in the name of power. The beautiful bodies and souls that have been taken from time and time again to serve the interests of someone else with no regard for their own existence or advancement.

America has provided examples of this for millennia, by make no mistake, we are not the only ones. My hope here is that people understand that by challenging these clearly damaging practices against people, we- the people, can observe the power that we possess when we move in solidarity. Integration, both voluntary and forcefully, sits at the foundation of our success and our failures as a people.

Lest we forget, there is no power without the people, therefore all power lies within all people. We built this mother fucker.”

The Fever 333 Seek To Open Discussion On Gun Debate With New Song “Trigger”

The Fever 333 have released a new song titled “Trigger.“ The track, which seeks to open a discussion on the gun debate, is available in digital outlets now. The below teaser was also posted, and it features frontman Jason Aalon Butler (ex-letlive.) holding signs outside of the NRA building in Washington, DC.

Butler also had the following to say about the song:

“I’m not here to tilt anyone towards my side of a complicated and ideological argument with biases.

I’m not here to add more fuel to the fire that burns between those divided on this issue.

I’m not even here to talk about where I stand.

I’m just here to ask our country to be honest with ourselves and understand it would be remiss, ignorant, and blatantly irresponsible if we didn’t acknowledge that we have developed a problem when it comes to gun violence in America.

This statement alone seems to upset some, but please know that I am not saying I want to take away your rights granted in the constitution and I’m not saying anything about any individual that bears a firearm as I don’t venture to know each and every one of you.

But I do know we are leading the planet in gun related deaths and now we are seeing a disturbing frequency in what they consider mass shootings. We have children taking the lives of other children with these weapons. We have people using weapons designed to efficiently kill as many people as possible to do just that. We are the only country in the world facing this issue the way we do.

I understand there are a collection of factors at play when dealing with shooters; mental health, education, misinformation to name a few, and I am not mitigating or pushing those aside, but today- RIGHT NOW I’m talking about the acquisition of firearms. I’m talking about the protocol by which we obtain firearms and the statistical problem we are fostering every day we do not ask for some sort of reform, solution, or acknowledgement regarding this matter.

I understand how we got here, rebellion got us here and rebellion will keep us here – but when the things that we want to protect ourselves with are killing us, we need to have that conversation and it needs to happen now.”
