Mikaela Premieres “Nightmare” Music Video

Mikaela has shared a new video for her song “Nightmare.” This track is from her latest album “Nocturne In Red.”

The following was said about the video:

“A nightmare that has tormented a dead woman’s mind, making her turn in her grave as a ritual is conducted bringing her to life, ending a nightmare that caused her her life. We experience the nightmare as it is relived in her subconscious until she is finally awake and ready to live again.

This short film is a direct metaphor in its entirety reflecting a true nightmare that we have all lived everyday through this pandemic running over way too many moons and causing too much death, especially those who’s music is their tool to life and such outlet was taken away from them. This is to serve as a reminder that nothing lasts forever, even a nightmare like this.”

Iron Maiden Team Up With Marvel For New Merch Line

Iron Maiden have teamed up with Marvel for a new merch line. The new pieces of apparel, which can be found HERE, feature a number of comic book characters including Wolverine, Venom, and Deadpool. Iron Maiden‘s manager Rod Smallwood commented:

“Eddie has long stood shoulder to shoulder with the greatest super-heroes and we’re also pretty proud of the Worlds we created for his many incarnations – from battlefields to Egyptian tombs to frozen icescapes or futuristic cities. Juxtaposing some of the most recognizable characters in pop art & comic book culture into planet Maiden has been an ambition of ours for years and working with Marvel and their unparalleled character-based IP is the perfect fit in this day & age. To see such iconic characters alongside Eddie is something our fans have discussed for years and we think that the twist of placing Venom, Thanos, Thor or Deadpool in our Maiden worlds will excite fans of both cultures.”

Enslaved Announce “The Otherworldly Big Band Experience” Virtual Concert

Enslaved have announced a special virtual concert, which they are calling “The Otherworldly Big Band Experience.” The event will stream on December 21 and tickets for it can be purchased HERE.

Ivar Bjørnson commented:

“Soon, the sun will turn – once again marking the transition from one year to another and the onset of brighter days ahead. We are many who wish to see this coming Winter Solstice mark a lasting turning away from dark days behind us. We have kept it up all along; virtual tours, rehearsing, writing, and releasing an album and an EP. You heard us when we said, ‘this will not stop us!’ – the Enslaved Community has grown stronger through the crisis. Now we will close this cycle with a grandiose virtual concert, and hope for you to join us from all over the world.

‘The Otherworldly Big Band Experience‘ is about wanting to show even more of what Enslaved is: Enslaved is also an idea. It is a live band that is teeth-grittingly metal, has rock’n’roll in its DNA, while maintaining and expanding on its position as a groundbreaking progressive metal act. All while exploring the boundaries of Norse Mythology and Rune-lore, Psychology and History.

We have recruited both an extension to the line-up with the young and talented Bergen prog rock band, Shaman Elephant. We have worked together with some of the most talented moviemakers and visual wizards around – also young and from Bergen: Kolibri Media. Add the Enslaved live crew to the mix and you have got magic, no less.

We have aspired to create a concert film that reflects this expanded representation of Enslaved and cannot wait to show you all. It is bigger than any project we have done before, and it is unlike anything else you have seen in this kind of music. You will see and hear songs that have never been performed before. Songs you might have heard will sound and look like you haven’t seen and heard before. There is new material, and material as old as the band. One constant binds it all together: it is Enslaved.”

Abiotic To Release 10th Anniversary Edition Of “A Universal Plague” In December, Premiere New Song “Mutation”

Abiotic will be releasing a 10th anniversary edition of their “A Universal Plague” EP on December 3. The effort, which has been retitled “A Universal Plague: Mutation,“ will come with two bonus tracks including “Mutation” (feat. Dickie Allen and Ray Jimenez) and a re-recorded version of “Vermosapien.“ You can check out “Mutation” below:

The group commented:

“We’re so grateful to get to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our debut EP with the re-release of A Universal Plague: Mutation. Fans have been asking us to release the EP digitally and on vinyl for what feels like forever and we’re so pumped to be working with The Artisan Era to get this out to everyone with some bonus tracks for the fans. We decided to re-record the song that started it all for us, Vermosapien, with our new lineup and make some creative tweaks, including using 8 strings, to give the song new life while keeping true to our original sound.”

“The idea was to show the mutation we’ve made as a band, hence the name of the EP. We also added a brand new song (Mutation), featuring our former vocalists Dickie Allen (Infant Annihilator) and Ray Jimenez (Acaedia), which is easily the heaviest song we’ve ever written. I think fans are going to lose their minds to this song, hearing the blend of voices that have been part of the band’s 10-year span of plaguing the extreme metal scene. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the band over the last decade. We are only able to do what we love to do because of you. Cheers!”

RATT’s Stephen Pearcy Postpones East Coast Shows After Testing Positive For COVID-19

RATT’s Stephen Pearcy has tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the singer has been forced to postpone several East Coast shows.
