Festival Recap: Las Rageous Festival In Las Vegas, NV

On October 18-19, numerous rock/metal fans invaded Sin City for the third annual Las Rageous Festival at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. It was a fun weekend full of loud music and good times.

The show kicked off on Friday with killer sets from artists like Words From Aztecs, Dead Girls Academy, and Sigil, before things really got going with awesome sets from He Is Legend and Poppy. Those two really helped bring up the energy to prepare everyone for Fever 333, who were one of the strongest acts of the night, Sleeping With Sirens, Dance Gavin Dance, and The Used. All those incredible bands paved way for the headliners of the evening, Bring Me The Horizon. The band were firing on all cylinders and had top notch stage production, complete with big screens, backup dancers, etc,. that helped make it a night to remember.

As Saturday arrived, there was no shortage of massive amounts of talent. This day kicked off with performances from Navarre, Mynas, Taking Dawn, and The Hu, the latter of which really got the audience fired up. Then it was time to bring on the heavy with Whitechapel, who had everyone raging before two of the best acts of the night took the stage, Beartooth and Atreyu. Their sets were followed by the relentless I Prevail and the phenomenal Chevelle, who got everyone ready for the one and only Rob Zombie. Like Bring Me The Horizon, Zombie’s band came out with all guns blazing and insane stage production with big screens and monsters. It was the perfect way to cap off the weekend, while also preparing everyone for Halloween.

Violent New Breed Premiere “Crazy” Video

Violent New Breed, the band featuring ex-Escape The Fate bassist/vocalist Max Green, have premiered a new video for their new song “Crazy.” This track is from the band’s new album “Bad Reputation,” which will be released on October 25.

Green commented:

“’Crazy’ is one of my favorite songs on the album. It has a great energy to it, and lyrically, I feel like it’s something everyone can relate to in some aspect. [It] was the second video we shot, and it came together really organically. We rented this rad warehouse that had a bunch of salvage and constructed everything there on the spot. It helped give the video the vibe we were looking for and was a lot of fun. I’ve definitely got to give a shout out to our director Orie McGinnis. That guy is super talented and has a great eye.”

Shawn McGhee added:

“’Crazy’ is such a fun song with a great hook. We had the instrumental for a while before we started working on the lyrics and melody. Max and Sean walked in one day with some stuff written down, and I remember going through some lyrics. The line, ‘I’m going crazy, I’m out of my mind’ stuck out to me. For me, everything about this song is awesome. The energy and way it hits you right out [of] the gate. This track will hold your attention all the way until the end. We threw down some cardboard in the studio and did some locking and popping.”
