Coheed And Cambria Reveal Details For New Album “The Unheavenly Creatures”

Coheed And Cambria have officially revealed the details for their new album “The Unheavenly Creatures.” The effort will be released on October 5, and it will see the band returning to their “The Amory Wars” concept after previously abandoning it with their 2015 album “The Color Before The Sun.“

Fans can pre-order a deluxe “Vaxis – Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures” box set HERE. According to a press release, that set will come with the following:

“…An exclusive eighty-plus page hardcover illustrated sci-fi novel with strikingly realistic color imagery by Chase Stone, as well as the complete Act 1 novella written by frontman Claudio Sanchez and his wife, Chondra Echert. The set also houses a fully-wearable hard-plastic mask of the main character in The Unheavenly Creatures, a CD copy of the album, as well as the exclusive bonus album, The Crown Heights Demos, showing the songs in their original written form.

Additional items include a 3-panel fold out poster of expanded album cover art, and the Unheavenly Creatures Black Card which will allow all card holders early access to tickets and early entry to Coheed and Cambria headline dates (including this summer’s tour).”

Moonspell have shared a new live video for “Alma Mater.” The footage comes from the band’s new live DVD/Blu-ray/3CD set “Lisboa Under The Spell,” which will be released on August 17. The effort was recorded at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, Portugal on February 4, 2017. Fernando Ribeiro commented:

Led Zeppelin Announce “The Song Remains The Same” Reissue

Led Zeppelin will be releasing a remastered reissue of the soundtrack to their concert film “The Song Remains The Same” on September 7, the same day the band played their first show in 1968 under the name the New Yardbirds. Jimmy Page supervised the remastering of the effort, which includes recordings from their July 27-29 1973 shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Blabbermouth shared the following info regarding the various formats:

“The Song Remains The Same” will be released in multiple formats from Atlantic/Swan Song, including the full album’s debut in hi-res 5.1 surround sound on Blu-ray. The Super Deluxe Boxed Set will be the most exquisite and elaborate release in the reissue series, recreating the intricate embossing of the set’s original issue and will also mark the first time the full-length film and soundtrack have been available in the same package. On the four-LP set, Page made a change to the track sequence, allowing the epic, 29-minute version of “Dazed And Confused” to be featuring in its entirety on one side of vinyl for the first time.

* Vinyl – Remastered audio on four 180-gram vinyl LPs, plus 28-page booklet
