Overkill have premiered a new live video for their song “Thanx For Nothin’.” The footage is from the band’s new live set “Live In Overhausen,” which will be released on May 18. That effort will include the band’s April 16, 2016 performance at the Turbinenhalle 2 in Oberhausen, Germany, which saw them celebrating the 25th anniversary of “Horrorscope” and the 30th anniversary of “Feel The Fire“ by playing them in full. It will be available as a Blu-ray/2-CD set, a DVD/2-CD set, and on vinyl and digital formats.
Immortal have announced that their new album “Northern Chaos Gods” will be released on July 6, via Nuclear Blast. This will be the group’s first album since 2009, and their first without frontman Abbath. Demonaz handled vocal duties, while Peter Tägtgren (Pain, Hypocrisy) handled the bass tracks. The title track will be digitally released on May 11, and will also be available as a limited edition 7″ on May 25.
The band commented:
“We are eternally dedicated to Immortal and our own musical past. The album is conceptual, and the first step in the reclaiming of our past grimness and attitude. Loyalty to the fans and our own musical history is very significant in this. Our new album will soon be available, with songs from the very gates of Blashyrkh — the realm of all darkness and cold.”
“We have put a massive amount of energy into this, and wanted to deliver our absolutely best. It has been a pleasure to finish the studio process and most of all being stoked about the final result. Peter Tägtgren has done an outstanding job in producing and mixing it. We now look forward to have it released, and are excited to share our ninth full-length with you all.”
Melvins have premiered a new video for their new song “Don’t Forget To Breathe.” The clip was directed by Ava Hazelmyer, and the track appears on the band’s new album “Pinkus Abortion Technician,“ which was released today (April 20). That effort features two bassists including Jeff Pinkus (Butthole Surfers) and Steven McDonald (Redd Kross/OFF!).
Buzz Osborne commented:
“We’re very excited to have a video for our song ‘Don’t Forget To Breathe’, directed by the hyper-talented Ava Hazelmyer. Hopefully, there will be more collaborations with her in the future. We can’t wait for people to hear ‘Pinkus Abortion Technician’ and for them to see both of these killer bassists on our upcoming tours!”
“I like to make scenes devoid of context or overt meaning. I like taking everyday things and dropping them into an absurd setting. I like the idea of something being experienced without any preconceived notions or connections.”
Amorphis have premiered a new video for their new song “Wrong Direction.“ This track is from the band’s new album “Queen Of Time,“ which will be released on May 18.
