August Burns Red Cover Wham!’s “Last Christmas”

August Burns Red have premiered their cover of Wham!’s “Last Christmas.” You can check that out below:

Dustin Davidson commented:

“This year I sat down with the intention of writing something upbeat, melodic, and shredtastic. When I decided to cover ‘Last Christmas‘ I kept in mind that most people only know the chorus of the song. I didn’t want to recreate something word for word, or note by note, so I took the main hook and built a bunch of original ideas around it. The lyrics to Wham!‘s ‘Last Christmas‘ are very sad, so if you’re feeling lonely this holiday season, I hope this cover finds you well.”

The band commented:

“Definitely a departure from the rest of the record, here’s ole B Hinds making good on his promise for some home cooked country with Ben Thrower’s official band apology to our wives, Girlfriends and really anyone we’ve woken up at 5am.

Think 1977 in the back of your parents crappy wagon furiously trying to get passing truckers to blow their horn. We are southern kids raised on Otis Redding, Merle Haggard and Roger Miller -so we can’t help it -it’s just in us on occasion.”

Feared Premiere “Your Black Is My White” Video

Feared have premiered a new video for their song “Your Black Is My White.” This track is from the band’s new album “Svart,” which will be released on December 8.

Guitarist Ola Englund (The Haunted) commented:

“The video for ‘Your Black Is My White’ is about Frida, a married woman who suffered a tragedy of losing her daughter in a drowning accident. Now she struggles through life living in two worlds, reality and nightmare. The accident is tearing apart on her relationship. In the video, the world shifts, and in the end, reality is the nightmare and her everyday perfect life is her dream. Video producer Johan Ejerblom really did a great job capturing the Feared vibe.”

In other news, Englund has also launched his own guitar company called Solar Guitars.

Unlocking The Truth Premiere “My Chains” Music Video

Unlocking The Truth have premiered a new video for their new song “My Chains,“ via Loudwire. Check it out below:

Guitarist/vocalist Malcolm Brickhouse commented:

“The meaning of ‘My Chains‘ will be different for everyone but there’s a line in the song for everyone. Think about it. We all have life’s chains. It could be somebody or something we use as a crutch to help us get through life and loosen those chains. We wanted the ‘My Chains‘ video to show that Unlocking The Truth has more to offer than just a good song. The video and song both push the envelope for ‘the norm’ in metal music. It’s fresh. It’s new. It’s MY CHAINS!”
